I love my cobblers, but this one is top three forsure. If you're a chocolate lover like me then you'd understand. There's just something different (and so much tastier) about a chocolate cobbler than a regular cobbler with white or yellow cake.

I've been making this cherry chocolate cobbler for years, and I know you will too after you try it! Trust me when I say you'll never have leftovers because this stuff is too good and whoever you share it with will clean out the dish in seconds!

    Ingredients

    • Canned Cherry Pie Filling
    • Box Chocolate Cake Mix
    • Butter

See the recipe card below for the ingredient measurements.

    Instructions

Step 1 - Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF and grease a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.

Step 2 - Assemble: Evenly distribute the cherry pie filling in the baking dish, sprinkle the chocolate cake mix over it, and then top with the butter slices evenly.

Step 3 - Bake: Bake the cobbler on the middle rack of the oven for 45-50 minutes until the top is not doughy and the edges are bubbling. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream as desired.

    Storage

Store any leftovers covered tightly with tin foil or plastic wrap (once room temperature) in the fridge for up to one week. Reheat leftovers in the microwave on a microwave safe plate until warm.

Spoon with a scoop of chocolate cherry cobbler on it.

    Notes

Let the cobbler rest for 10-15 minutes before serving otherwise it may be too runny to serve.

Melted butter instead of sliced butter also works for this recipe - totally up to preference! No need to mix it in either.ย
