    Easy Caramel Apple Poke Cake

    This easy caramel apple poke cake is packed with fall flavour, super moist, and so delicious! It's the perfect fall dessert that takes no time to make with only 6 ingredients!

    It's hard to put the fork down with this cake between the delicious apple cinnamon flavour, fluffy cake, pockets of caramel oozing from it, and a creamy whipped topping!

    I get so many compliments when I make this cake and everyones always asking for the recipe! They love hearing how easy it is to make.

    Ingredients

    • Boxed Vanilla Cake Mix
    • Ground Cinnamon
    • Canned Apple Pie Filling
    • Store-bought Caramel Sauce
    • Cool Whip
    • Toffee Bits

    Step-by-Step Instructions

    Step 1 - Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.

    Step 2 - Bake the Cake: To a mixing bowl, whisk the cake mix and cinnamon together. Add the apple pie filling and mix again with a spoon. Transfer the cake batter to the baking dish and bake on the middle rack for 28-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

    Step 3 - Assemble the Cake: Once the cake is completely cool, poke the cake with holes with the bottom of a wooden spoon. Evenly pour the caramel over the top of the cake and then refrigerate for 30 minutes (or 15 minutes in the freezer). Spread the Cool Whip over the top of the cake and drizzle it with extra caramel and toffee bites.

    Storage

    For any leftovers, cover it tightly in plastic wrap or transfer slices to an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to one week.

    Description

    This easy caramel apple poke cake is moist, tasty, and tastes like fall in every bite! The most delicious apple cinnamon dessert ever.


    Ingredients

    • Cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
    • Canned Apple Pie Filling: one can (21 ounces)
    • Store-bought Caramel Sauce: ½ cup
    • Cool Whip: 8 ounces
    • Toffee Bits: for garnishing

    Instructions

    Notes

    It's important that the cake is cooled before pouring the caramel sauce and spreading the cool whip on top otherwise the cake may end up soggy and the cool whip will melt.

    Get creative with the toppings! Think chocolate chips, nuts, etc!
