Meet Andrea
Hi there, I'm Andrea!
With over 15 years of self-taught cooking and baking experience, I’m excited to share my passion for tasty, approachable recipes with you. Here on Cup of Flour, I share all my tried-and-true seasonal recipes, all made with simple ingredients.
A Little About Me
I grew up spending a lot of time in the kitchen, discovering new and delicious recipes and learning how to bake with my mom. She made it effortless to create recipes together because we always used basic, simple ingredients that we usually already had in our kitchen. If there was ever a fancy ingredient in the recipe, you could bet it was substituted with something else!
Once I moved out on my own, I spent more time in the kitchen making my own meals, and I absolutely loved it. The freedom to try new recipes and cook whatever I was craving was so much fun. Like my mom, I avoided fancy ingredients and found ways to make recipes with more common, simple ingredients.
I’ve always enjoyed cooking, but my true passion is baking. My absolute favorite thing to do is to bake in the late evening or early morning with a classic early 2000s rom-com playing in the background.
After years of snapping pictures of the food I made and sending them to friends and family, I wanted to do something more with this passion of mine; and that’s when Cup of Flour was born. It’s been a place for me to store my favorite recipes and share them with the rest of the world. This food blog is my little corner of the internet to share and teach aspiring cooks and bakers how to make delicious seasonal recipes with just some basic, simple ingredients.
My journey in the kitchen began as a hobby, and over the years, it has blossomed into a love for making home cooking and baking accessible to everyone. I’m thrilled to offer you a collection of over 100 recipes that celebrate the flavors of the seasons while keeping things uncomplicated and fun with basic, simple ingredients in all my recipes.
