These are one of my favourite appetizers to make for guests! I can always rely on these little two-bite crostinis when I'm pressed for time because the ingredients are easy to grab at my local grocery store, and they're so quick to make!
Everyone raves about how delicious of a snack these are. They love the melted mozzarella and flavour of the fresh basil! These bruschetta bites will be the first appetizer to go at any dinner party because they're super tasty!
Ingredients
- Baguette/French bread loaf
- Olive Oil
- Salt & Pepper
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Prosciutto (cured ham)
- Fresh Basil Leaves

Step-by-Step Instructions
- Prepare: Preheat the oven to 400° F and prepare a baking sheet with tin foil and cooking spray.
- Toast: Slice the baguette in ¼ inch slices and drizzle with olive oil. Toast in the oven for 3 minutes, then flip the slices and sprinkle them with salt and pepper and toast for another 3 minutes.
- Layer: To each slice of baguette, top with a slice of mozzarella, half a slice of prosciutto, and a garnish of basil.
Serving Suggestions
Serve as an appetizer for some grilled steak and roasted potato dinner or a pasta recipe like chicken pesto rigatoni, lemon boursin pasta, cherry tomato sauce pasta, or penne pasta bake with ricotta.

- Fresh Mozzarella Cheese Ball: approx. 1 pound ball
- Prosciutto: approx. 10 slices
- Fresh Basil, sliced: â…“ cup

Notes
For extra flavour, consider cutting a fresh garlic clove in half and rubbing it over the toasted bread when it come out of the oven.Â
For garnish, a drizzle of balsamic vinegar glaze tastes incredible (it can be a bit messy if drizzled on too early though). I like to just put a bottle by the dish as an option for anyone who wants to drizzle it on their bruschetta.Â
