Description

This 3 ingredient chocolate cherry cobbler is a delicious and easy last minute dessert recipe!

Ingredients

  • Canned Cherry Pie Filling: two 21 oz cans
  • Chocolate Cake Mix: one 15.25 oz box
  • Butter: 3/4 cup, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Assemble: Evenly distribute the cherry pie filling in the baking dish, sprinkle the chocolate cake mix over it, and then top with the butter slices evenly.
  3. Bake: Bake the cobbler on the middle rack of the oven for 45-50 minutes until the top is not doughy and the edges are bubbling. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream as desired.

Notes

Let the cobbler rest for 10-15 minutes before serving otherwise it may be too runny to serve.

Melted butter instead of sliced butter also works for this recipe - totally up to preference! No need to mix it in either.
