I make this tasty root beer pie all the time during the summer! It's such a crowd pleaser. It's so refreshing and the best way to cool off in the summer heat or end a summer night!

    Ingredients

    • Instant vanilla pudding
    • Milk
    • Root beer (you can also add a couple of teaspoons of root beer extract if you want a stronger flavour, but I find root beer is all you need!) Who knows where to get root beer extract anyway!!
    • Cool whip
    • Store-bought graham cracker pie crust
    • Whipped cream
    • Maraschino cherries

See the recipe card below for the ingredient measurements.

    Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1 - Making the filling: To a large mixing bowl, add the vanilla pudding mix, milk and root beer and whisk together until combined. Wait a few minutes until the pudding thickens, and then fold in the Cool Whip until smooth.

    Notes

For a stronger root beer flavour, add a couple of teaspoons of root beer extract.

This pie needs ample time to chill in the freezer, other wise it will be runny and difficult to slice.
