See the recipe card below for the ingredient measurements.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1 - Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease two muffin pans with cooking spray. Open the canned cinnamon roll package and set aside the icing that comes with it.
Step 2 - Assemble: Press a cinnamon roll into each muffin tin (making a cup following the shape of the muffin tin). Fill each cup with a tablespoon of diced apples (but don't over fill the cups).

Step 3 - Bake: Bake on the middle rack for 15-17 minutes, until slightly golden and soft to the touch (they shouldn't be too dark or hard as this is a sign they're overcooked and dry). Rest for 5-10 minutes then transfer to a serving tray and drizzle with the icing.

Storage
Store at room temperature for up to two days or in the fridge for up to one week (they can be reheated in the microwave at 10 second intervals until warm).

Let the cinnamon roll container sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes so the cinnamon rolls are easier to mold in the muffin pan tins.Â
It's important to dice the canned apples into small pieces so they don't fall off the cinnamon rolls and are easy to eat.Â
Avoid overfilling the cups, because the cinnamon rolls will puff up as they bake and if there is too much apple pie filling they'll spill out.Â
If you want more icing than comes with the package of cinnamon rolls, an easy alternative is a tub of store-bought cream cheese frosting or you can make a glaze with 1 cup of powdered sugar and 3 tablespoons of milk.
