This classic tomato basil bruschetta recipe is a classic summer appetizer that's super delicious and easy to make!
Ingredients
Units
- Tomatoes, diced: 4-5 tomatoes
- Red Onion, diced: 1/2 cup
- Fresh Basil, chopped: 1/2 cup
- Garlic Cloves, minced or finely shredded: 2
- Salt: 1 teaspoon
- Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive Oil: 1/2 tablespoon
- Balsamic: 1/2 tablespoon
- Baguette, sliced into 1/2 inch slices: 1 baguette
Instructions
- Prepare: Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet with tin foil and cooking spray and set aside.
- Mix: To a bowl, combine and mix the tomatoes, red onion, basil, garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
- Toast: Add the baguette slices to the prepared baking sheet and drizzle a little bit of olive oil and salt over each slice. Bake for 1-2 minutes on each side and then top each baguette slice with the tomato mixture and serve.
