Description

These easy caprese skewers with salami are a quick and delicious appetizer for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 toothpicks
  • cured salami log sliced into 3 rings, then cut into 4 quarters to make 12 pieces
  • 12 mozzarella bocconcini balls
  • 12 fresh basil leaves
  • 12 cherry tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Assemble: Thread a piece of salami, mozzarella/boccacini ball, rolled-up basil leaf, and tomato onto a toothpick. Repeat these steps for each toothpick.

Notes

You can use regular mozzarella brick cheese cut into small cubes if you don't have boccacini balls.

If you don't have a dry-cured salami log, you can thread the skewers using sliced deli salami.

Keep the cherry or grape tomatoes whole so the juice isn't released and creates a mess.

You can double the recipe if you are planning to feed a large group.
