Description
These 5 ingredient mini apple pie tarts are a delicious 2-bite dessert for fall and Thanksgiving!
Ingredients
- Frozen tart shells: 24
- Canned apple pie filling, chopped/diced: one 21 oz can
- Cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
- Nutmeg: 1/2 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
Instructions
- Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350° F and line two baking sheets with 12 tart shells each.
- Mix: To a mixing bowl, add the chopped apple pie filling, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract and stir until combined.
- Bake: Fill the tart shells with one heaping tablespoon of the pie filling each and bake for 20-22 minutes, until the tart shells are slightly golden.
Notes
Chop the canned pie filling (you can just dump it right onto a cutting board to chop). This will ensure the apples are diced small and easy to eat.
These tarts are best served warm, and pair well with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and or caramel sauce!
