These easy chocolate chip cake mix muffins come together quickly with 5 ingredients and are so fully and delicious!
Ingredients
- Yellow Cake Mix: 1 box (15.25 oz)
- Eggs: 3
- Butter, melted: 1/4 cup
- Milk: 3/4 cup
- Chocolate Chips, semi-sweet: 1 and 1/2 cups
Instructions
- Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350° F and line a muffin pan with muffin liners.
- Mix: In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, melted butter, and milk, then mix with an electric hand mixer. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Bake: Fill the muffin liners 3/4 full with the muffin batter and bake on the middle rack for 15-17 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Notes
Avoid overmixing the muffin batter to avoid a dense texture. Mix just until combined for a light and fluffy texture.
Consider popping a few chocolate chips into the muffin tops right after removing them from the oven while they're still hot. This makes the muffins look amazing and will be extra chocolaty and delicious!
