Description

This mango habanero salsa is the perfect appetizer for summer to snack on by the pool or share at an outdoor barbeque!

Ingredients

  • Mangos, Diced: 3

  • Pineapple, Diced: 1 and 1/2 Cups (about half of a small pineapple)

  • Red Onion, Diced: 1/4 Cup

  • Tomato, Diced: 1

  • Red Bell Pepper, Diced: 1

  • Habanero, Finely Chopped: 1

  • Fresh Cilantro, Chopped: 1/4 Cup

  • Fresh Lime Juice: 1 Lime

  • Chili Powder: 1/2 Teaspoon

  • Salt: 1/2 Teaspoon

  • Tortilla Chips: For Serving

Instructions

  1. Combine: In a mixing bowl, combine and mix all the ingredients together.
  2. Serve: Transfer the dip to a serving dish and serve it with tortilla chips.

Notes

Look for mangos that are evolving from green to a red/orange colour and give a little when you press them. If they’re firm, they aren’t ready, but if they’re squishy, they’re overripe.

Consider wearing latex gloves when you chop the habanero, and be sure to wash your hands with soap right after!
