Ingredients
- Fresh Baguette, cut into 1/2 inch slices: 1 loaf
- Olive Oil: 2 tablespoons
- Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
- Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh Mozzarella Ball: 8 oz
- Cherry Tomatoes, sliced in half: 1 cup
- Balsamic Glaze: 1/4 cup
- Basil, chopped: 1/4 cup
Instructions
- Prepare: Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet with tin foil and cooking spray.
- Toast: Add the baguette slices to the baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toast for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden.
- Assemble: To each crostini, layer with a thin slice of mozzarella, 2-3 cherry tomato halves, balsamic glaze drizzle, and garnish with basil.
Notes
You can use standard brick mozzarella if you can't find fresh!
Slicing the bread on an angle will give each slice more space for all those delicious tomatoes!
Slice the tomatoes in half to avoid them from bursting and making a mess.
Use balsamic glaze instead of balsamic vinegar because glaze is thick and holds its form better!
